The industry-academia interface transacts with the transfer of knowledge and experience/technology. With the idea of acquiring knowledge and cultivating the right scientific temperament as well as developing technical skills by providing specialized in-housetraining in the diverse fields of Computer Science, the Department of Computer Applications has introduced a two-week MICS programme on Advanced Java Web Technologies at CDAC, Technopark in Thiruvananthapuram. Such an interface can give rise to a robust, high quality, interdependent, long-term relationship between industry and academy leading to a vibrant situation for both. Add-on Courses The continuous zest for academic excellence has led to the offering of short term/add-on courses apart from the courses in the curriculum, for uplifting the students to meet the growing needs of the industry.
